Movie Overview
Released in 2006, Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom delivers another exciting installment in the beloved anime franchise. Directed by Toshiyuki Tsuru, this action-adventure film sees Naruto Uzumaki, alongside Sakura, Rock Lee, and Captain Kakashi, assigned a C-rank mission to escort Prince Michiru of the Land of the Moon during his travels. The Prince is a lavish spender who wastes his fortune on a traveling circus and a pet tiger, much to the chagrin his son, Hikaru. However, their journey home proves perilous when they discover a violent uprising has overtaken the kingdom.
The film features the core cast, with Junko Takeuchi returning to voice the titular hero, supported by Chie Nakamura and Yôichi Masukawa. The narrative focuses on the growth of the spoiled heir, Hikaru, who learns courage from Naruto’s example. As the team battles the usurpers, the movie blends high-energy ninja combat with themes of friendship and leadership. While it received a moderate reception with an IMDb rating of 6.3/10, it remains a must-watch for fans wanting to see Team 7 in action outside the main series. You can now watch Naruto the Movie 3 on Netflix to experience this standalone adventure.
