Donations and Payments

Donating to PinMovies is voluntary. When you donate, the payment is processed by Stripe on a checkout page hosted by Stripe. Your card or other payment details are entered on Stripe's page and go to Stripe only. PinMovies never receives or stores them.

Stripe gives us a record of the donation: the amount, the date, and the name and email address you enter at checkout. We use it for accounting and to answer questions about your donation. Stripe processes your data under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. If the donation page offers another payment provider and you choose it, that provider handles the payment under its own privacy policy.

To learn which version of the donation page works best, we record statistics when the page is opened or a payment button is clicked: the page version shown, the button, the selected amount, your country, your device type, and an anonymous visitor id kept in your browser's local storage. These statistics do not contain your name, your email address, or your payment details.
